Went Out for Breakfast Today

It took some time to get there.

Happy sigh...a beautiful Boise Mountain morning.  Pardon the interesting glare on some of these.  It was through an airplane window after all.

Oh, disclaimer:  This is a photo-heavy post.  Sit back and enjoy!

Here's Mr. Pilot Man.  His name was William.

Then we dropped down to see the Sawtooths.

J-Man (felt like he needed a callsign for his birthday brunch...) checking out safety information.

...and the contents of the seat pocket, including this lovely bag.

Our first landing strip of the day.  We dropped off a couple of guys headed out for some hiking for a few days.

Our plane for the day.

Another plane at the landing strip.

Mandatory photo op:

Then we took off and went to the ranch where we were having brunch:

We had eggs and homemade salsa, bacon, scones, fresh melon, coffee, and juice. Our hostess was a great cook, so we went and walked around to start working off her good cookin'.

And then J-Man opted to take the 16 week photo in the mountains.  Grow baby grow!

Then our pilot returned from a couple of errands, and we flew home to Boise.

Jordan rode up front on the way back.

This is the fire line from one of the big fires out here last year.  The black lower left obviously was in the way of the flames, but the green middle to right is a sight of what's to come when it grows back.

I like this one.  Looks like you could just walk across the tops, doesn't it?

A little lake.

I think he liked his present. :-)  Happy birthday, J-Man.  (We had to wait for the snow to melt for us to go on this little trip!)

Bogus Basin.  Is it ski season yet?

A quick little landing and some A-10s greeted us.

Then we were home.  What did you do this morning?  Or rather, when should we expect you for a visit?
